Child Safety Standards

Commitment to Child Safety

Ponder is committed to the safety and protection of all users, especially minors. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy against child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This document outlines our standards and practices to prevent, detect, and respond to CSAE content and behavior on our platform.

Age Requirements

  • Ponder requires all users to be 13 years of age or older
  • Users must verify their age during the registration process
  • We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate this age requirement
  • We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13

Zero Tolerance Policy

Ponder strictly prohibits:

  • Child sexual abuse material (CSAM) of any kind
  • Content that sexualizes minors in any way
  • Grooming behavior or communication intended to exploit minors
  • Sharing, distributing, or soliciting exploitative content involving minors
  • Any content that endangers the safety or well-being of children
  • Sextortion or blackmail involving minors
  • Any other form of child exploitation

Prohibited Content and Behavior

The following is strictly prohibited on Ponder:

  • Images, videos, or any media depicting child sexual abuse
  • Links to external sites containing CSAE material
  • Text content that describes or promotes child exploitation
  • Attempts to contact minors for inappropriate purposes
  • Sharing personal information of minors without consent
  • Content that normalizes or trivializes child abuse
  • Using the platform to facilitate real-world harm to children

Detection and Prevention

We employ the following measures to prevent CSAE on our platform:

  • Age verification during account registration
  • Content moderation and review systems
  • User reporting mechanisms for flagging inappropriate content
  • Proactive monitoring of platform activity
  • Regular review and updates to our safety policies

How to Report CSAE Content

If you encounter any content or behavior on Ponder that involves child sexual abuse or exploitation:

In-app reporting

Tap on any answer or comment to access the report menu. Select "Report" and choose the appropriate category. Provide details about the concerning content.

Email helpwithponder@gmail.com with subject line "URGENT: Child Safety Report"

External reporting

Our Response to Reports

When CSAE content or behavior is reported or detected, we will:

  • Immediately remove the content
  • Immediately suspend the offending account
  • Preserve evidence for law enforcement
  • Report to NCMEC and relevant authorities as required by law
  • Cooperate with law enforcement investigations
  • Permanently ban the offending user

There are no warnings or second chances for CSAE violations.

Cooperation with Authorities

Ponder will:

  • Report all instances of apparent CSAM to NCMEC as required by U.S. law
  • Fully cooperate with law enforcement investigations
  • Preserve and provide relevant data when legally required
  • Respond promptly to valid legal requests from authorities
